Cultural Safety Planning
We’ve created a new on-demand mini-course offering to increase access to tools and teachings that facilitate Indigenous Cultural Safety AND we are asking everyone to complete the course and plan before booking a Nahanee Creative workshop.
Step 1:
Purchase and complete our online, on-demand Interactive Introduction to Cultural Safety course. The Organization Price is $300 for up to 24 viewers (reach out about customizations for larger groups). We recommend setting aside 60 minutes to watch the short video and discuss. Pricing includes a reflections worksheet and Cultural Safety Planning template. Please note the course will be available for three days from the time you log in as an organization and one day if you purchase as an individual ($40).
You’ll find 3 courses on our platform and we hope you take them all. Each will take less than 60 minutes to complete. Cultural Safety is the pre-requisite, Cultural Protocols and Cultural Empathy are optional. Link to the Interactive Introductions page on our store through the graphic above.
Step 2: Create a Cultural Safety Plan
The next step is to fill in our template to create your first Cultural Safety Plan. Set aside some time for extra research and group discussion so you and your team develop a strong foundation to facilitate cultural safety. We will be requiring any organizations that wish to book a workshop with us to complete a Cultural Safety Plan. The safety of the Indigenous Facilitators at Nahanee Creative is the most important thing to us - and we are showing that by making sure our client community has a strong foundational approach to Cultural Safety Planning.
Step 3:
Inquire and Discuss
If you are an organization: You’re now ready to inquire about booking a workshop with Nahanee Creative Inc. We offer a few different workshops. Read about our offerings to inquire.
Once you have sent in your inquiry, discuss your Cultural Safety Plan with your team. Strategize on how you will implement it when working with us!
If you are an individual: Use the teachings learned in our on-demand course to start discussions in your circles. Maybe even suggest the course to your workplace and encourage the implementation of an office Cultural Safety Plan.
